Projects

Welcome to the projects section!

Hello! Welcome to my projects. Here's a small listing of my projects. Some are actually quite useful, some not and some are insane. Down below are also my publications. It's not much, but I'm trying. Enjoy!

Projects

AVR based projects

Robots - I'm an amatuer robot builder amongst other things. Here are my creations

The DPLC - a custom PLC controller I made as a final project on high school

The sanity nullifier - an evil and vile first aprils yoke. Which will drive people mad... MUHUUHUAHAHA!!!

AVR controlled clock - a simple clock with an AVR. No RTC, just a display and an AVR. And a crystal.

The concealed codelock - a dial lock, that can be concealed into anything with a knob.

Game of Life on a character LCD - a simple implementation of Conway's Game of Life, using one AVR and one LCD

YALBlinkie - yet another LED blinkie - a simple project with lights randomly fading in and out - uses an AVR and 9 software PWM channels

RETRobot - the first robot on the net with a CRT tube - a retroproject with a self explanatory name :-)

Non-AVR electronic projects

The nixie clock - a nixie clock. What more to say. It's currently under construction, but nearing completion.

The Universal Cable - a simple utility to make any cable configuration you desire without soldering

Coilgun - A true doomsday weapon. Utterly useless, but fun to make and operate. You might get electrocuted.

555 generator - a simple quick ultracheap rectangle signal generator with multiple settings. Very usefull for the everyday amatuer.

Magic eye - Playing with an EM80 magic eye.

The nixie power supply - a simple isolated power supply for relatively high voltages

The Nixie Plasma ball - a simple way to turn your nixies into plasma balls

Misc projects

Simple keyboard mod with marbles - a simple way to improve the simple keyboard...

The spaghetti peace proposal - just a little graphic I made for my church.

Aluminum etching - a small and quick tutorial on etching aluminum with Ferric Chloride

Manual for the Soviet C1-112 oscilloscope - A scanned set of schematics and board assemblies.

Protecting your LCDs with scotch tape - a simple method of protecting an LCD from scratch using duct tape

Soldering a TQFP package of an ATMega128 - if anyone's interested, here's a video of how I solder a TQFP package.

ESD Begone Mouse - a simple mouse modification to help me get rid of ESD problems on my table in a simple and non disturbing way

Gullibility Begone Ring - a great invention for gullible people

B16S22 tube info - a guy on a forum I visit wanted data on this tube. Note: it's only a pinout, and similar tubes to illustrate the functions and meanings of various pin names.
