I'm David Gustafik. I live in Slovakia, Bratislava. My nickname is 'daqq'. I'm quite a boring person actually.
I enjoy electronics, good food, sci-fi and fantasy books and movies, programming, computer games and vintage electronics.
Here's a few notable photos of me from various events I've attended.
- Me at the RobotChallenge Vienna
- Me at Stonehenge
- Me and my wife (girl friend at the time)
- Me at the EU contest at Stockholm with Arvid Carlsson
I am currently employed at Ciklum Western Europe (formerly CN Group) as a senior electronics engineer, where I draw lovely schematics and PCBs and poke at devices with an oscilloscope and a soldering iron until they work.
For many years prior to that I had been employed at MicroStep-MIS as a hardware (and a bit of a firmware) developer. And I dabbled in RF stuff as well.
After seven years I have gained an Ing. title from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology STU. Before that I attended the SPSE K. Adlera 5 vocational electronic school.
